The Perfect Frame…Available May 19th

The Perfect Frame is in its last moments of production. This is definitely the most difficult and time consuming production that I have ever written and directed. However, I do think it’s the best narrative movie that I have made to this day.

This project was my final project for one of my film classes here at San Diego State. I had four other people in my production group: Iris Caffin (Producer), Max Wheeler (Director of Photography), Dane Tellinghuisen (Visual Effects Supervisor), and Toni Comfort (Production Design). Without their help, and many other people, this movie definitely would not have been possible.

Unlike my time lapse movies, where I go out somewhere by myself and create and entire movie by myself. Something of this magnitude required a lot of planning, equipment, and time. Dane and I spend hours on end, many sleepless nights, during post production to complete a lot of the visual effects shots that this movie required. While I learned a lot of things not to do for the next time, I honestly think we pulled this off.

Movie Synopsis
A man (Phil Kruse) living in a black and white world discovers a way to create color photos and posters. By hanging them on his wall, he discovers that these images are not just images, but something greater that go beyond his world.
